American Legion Boys State and
the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State Programs
The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs is pleased to provide three semester hours of Political Science elective credits for all Citizens attending their State Program. This university-level course, titled: Leadership for the Next Generation: Citizenship and Community Service (PSC 1510), is a hybrid of academic effort recognized for the one week on-campus or virtual classroom work and subsequent individual online analysis of each registrant. The entirety of this academic effort is transparently provided in the attached syllabus, at the left sidebar of this web page. Please open and read its contents thoroughly. This three-semester hour university course has a total tuition and registration cost of $240, payable at the time of registration.

All required academic responses (papers) are to be completed and submitted online no later than 7 PM (Mountain Time Zone) on 18 October 2024/21 December 2024. Early submissions are welcome!
Registration is relatively simple and easy through the appropriate ‘PAY PSC 1510’ link, located at the bottom this page. This course is offered every semester, and registered students can request a personal transcript with their course grades at the end of their academic effort. A transcript request link is also provided at the bottom of this page.
Each academic session’s opportunity will be approximately 8 weeks in length to accommodate a student’s individual needs in their regularly scheduled school academic program. The only prerequisite is successfully completing a leadership program (Girls State, Boys State) at the applicant’s home venue.
Registering/registered students will submit their application using links provided at the bottom of this webpage. All academic work and student correspondence must be conducted using our ‘RTG Canvas’ Learning Management System. (See link at the bottom of this page).
